The procedure of providing grant support to Russian farmers will be changed next year. The corresponding decision was made by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. It is worth mentioning, that the changes will primarily affect family farms.
Tus, starting from 2020, the government will grant subsidies and grants not only to livestock farms, but also to those engaged in crop, vegetable and fruit farming. From next year, farmers, who have won grant competitions, will be able to create jobs within two years after receipt of funds, rather than within one year.
It is stated, that the farmers will have to maintain their small cattle livestock below 500 heads. One of the most significant innovations is that family farms will be able to use grants received from the government to fund projects that are carried out with the help of concessional investment loans.
